The Military Spouse Employment Act Becomes Law

Historically, military spouses have contributed much more than we’ve given them credit for, but that is changing, and SSMCP is proud to support that effort!

SSMCP was honored to be a part of passing legislation recognizing military spouses for their sacrifices and supporting their pursuit of a rewarding career, despite the constant relocations.

SSMCP has occupational licensure portability improvements among its legislative priorities for the 2023 Legislative Session, recognizing this is essential to maintain the financial readiness for military families.

Thank you to Representative Mari Leavitt of the 28th LD as the champion of this bill and a champion for service members, veterans, and their families!
