The Elected Officials Council is a key forum of the South Sound Military & Communities Partnership (SSMCP), bringing together local, state and federally elected leaders with leadership from Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

This semiannual, in-person meeting provides updates from SSMCP and regional partners on issues and efforts impacting military families and surrounding communities, including housing, military readiness and resilience, childcare, workforce and economic development, and access to essential services.

Designed as both a briefing and a networking forum, the EOC strengthens military readiness while advancing community resilience across the South Sound. By fostering alignment between military and civilian leaders, the Council helps ensure shared, regional solutions that benefit JBLM, military families, and the South Sound Region that supports them.
